Great theme – shows beautifully on mobile, which is especially important for podcasts. I recommend this theme highly if you’re considering hosting a podcast. Our podcast is here, if you want to see how it looks on our site: https://harvestercast.com A friend saw the site and he commented, saying “you are truly a jedi podcaster”... but my secret was the CastPod theme. As a bonus, the theme author is very responsive in providing support.

If you’re looking to launch a podcast and have total control of your feed and website, minus excessive cost, Castpod is the way to go. This theme is designed for you to act as the host and publisher of your show. For example – If you import your past episodes from another publisher, that is a one-time process. The theme will not pull from you publisher automatically and or every time you publish. Everything you need to publish a flexible website and show, submit to iTunes, Google Play Music, and most directories is provided for you. However, if you’re wanting to submit your show to Spotify, you’ll need to have an account with Libsyn, Podomatic, Podbean, etc. For now, Spotify prefers podcast that are published from the “big boys.” Also, with the few questions that I needed answered, Liviu (Castpod author) was super helpful. Depending on your website and podcast goals and a little patience, even a minimalist (no coding experience) can turn this theme into a nice home for your show. Closing… If you plan to use your host as a repository, be sure that your hosting plan allows for you to do so without penalty.
